About Fully Brewed
We love coffee. We love really good coffee. That’s who we are — people who love really good coffee. We are devoted to the craft of coffee, from how it’s grown and processed, to how it’s roasted and brewed.
Our Chief Coffee Snob
Our chief coffee snob has been drinking coffee since the fourth grade. Ken Hensley began like many of you — drinking Folgers Coffee that came in the red can and was brewed in a percolator on top of the stove. Now, nearly forty years later, he knows the difference between Arabica and Robusta beans (do you?) and uses an Aeropress instead of a percolator.
Ken’s Behmor 1600 – Ready to Go in the Garage
This is the machine that ushered me into a whole new world of coffee drinking. The Behmor 1600 Coffee Roaster is a home roasting machine that uses a rotating drum and different settings to achieve a variety of roasts. My model is the older model; the new model has even more controls and features a manual mode that allows you a more hands-on roast. It’s approximately the size of a toaster oven.
Since I’m no longer allowed to roast inside the house (I created a “little” smoke and got banned from the kitchen), my normal spot is in the garage, sitting on a lawn chair, reading a book. From start to finish, a light roast takes approximately 20 something minutes — including cooling time.
